I have been an agent of Safe Hands Funeral Plans for over 3 years now and have had positive feedback from customers that have used them. As an agent I have had lots of contact with head office and I am confident enough to have now taken out a plan for myself, my husband and my father. I would have taken one out for my mum as well but she did one years ago with another funeral plan company and when I compared them you definitely get a better deal with Safe Hands!
Unlike others I was NOT happy with Safe Hands. My money was not in safe hands! I was told categorically that this was a savings scheme and that I could take my money out at any time if I needed to. My financial circumstances changed and I had to cut my expenses. I decided that I would have to cancel my subscription. I asked for savings to be returned to me and was told I could not have them as there was a 495 cancellation fee. This was not told to me at point of sale! I was told I could stop and any time without loss of a penny!.. I was then told that I must have got mixed up with what the salesman had said and got confused with other products he has offering. I know this was wrong because I had contacted Safe Hands to ask for information on funeral plans only, I had not been 'cold called'! I have put a review on this website previously but it has been removed. I am not happy, I have been misled. I now see that there is a clause in the contract but, as an honest decent woman of 65 I stupidly, and naively thought that others where as honest as myself - that certainly is a lesson learnt. I will keep posting on the website if this post is removed again. BUYER BEWARE. Unless you are 100% sure you can afford to pay for the full term, do not enter into an agreement of this kind.
I joined Safe Hands 3 months ago, deciding to pay for our funerals in advance The reason for this was because we had recently had to organise and fund our daughter's funeral. My husband and I decided to pay for our funerals in advance so that our remaining family would not have to worry about this in the future.We were impressed with SAFE HANDS who made helpful suggestions and were most reassuring. I am happy to recommend this company for your future needs.
