I travelled to Kings Cross from Wakefield Kirkgate at 08.55 on Friday, 1st June. I had a computer printout with a reference number to obtain my previously purchased ticket from the machine. Before I even had to ask, I was approached by a very pleasant young man, Damien, who sorted my ticket for me & instructed me regarding the platform etc. He couldnt have been more helpful & hes a credit to you. The 2 ladies in the coffee bar were also extremely pleasant- well done!

Whilst this train station has historically suffered from a bad reputation, recent rennovations have really turned it around, there is covered seating to keep the rain/cold out whilst you're waiting for your train and the area is well-lit at night time. More seating would be good and a few more amenities wouldn't go amiss however.

Has become much more attractive following its refurbishment

Lovely coffee shop whilst waiting for trains.

It has had a nice refurbishment and has a good independent coffee shop. There is a free bus to the town centre. Trains are ok but would be better if they were more frequent
