Happy Alan a decent chap.
Just collected our new car , what a pleasure to deal with this company. Courteous , no pressure , every thing explained and very important to us, price of new car and price for our old one, balance is .... none of this fudging figures weve had from previous garages. We were just passing the garage it is an hour away from home but when you receive this kind of service its worth it . We were told when it needs a service we can be taken into town and collected when car is ready if we dont want to go back home which would be a 4 hour round trip. We would highly recommend this garage. Thank you John for your professionalism .
I bought a van in March 2018 and after 2 weeks, the clutch failed. They came to pick it up and replaced the clutch before delivering the van back to me. They kindly asked that I leave a review for them which I would gladly do. What I didnt do was write the review straight away, Im Im glad about that! Whilst viewing the van I asked about service history and timing belt. It only had partial service history and was told that the belt was probably done. My first error was not checking this and took them at their word. Because after I got the van back from clutch replacement, the belt wore down and I had head gasket gone. I spoke to sandhill motors and they stated that this is a perishable part but out of good will, they would pay for the timing belt kit. Nice gesture but after only having the vehicle in such a short space of time, AND I was at the airport making these telephone calls, I was extremely annoyed. So, 600 lighter, the timing and head gasket was done. Hoping that was the end of my run of bad luck, alas I was mistaken. Ive just paid out another 290 for an injector that had gone. I am now at the point that I have to keep the van longer to justify the extra costs to keep it on the road. Moral of the story is to not trust or believe what a car dealer tells you unless its in black and white! Oh, back to the clutch quickly, baring in mind that this was two weeks after I bought it, on my windscreen, when it steams up, the words etched onto the inside is handbrake only which can only suggest they knew the clutch was on the way out but decided to sell it to some mug to save in repair costs. So, would I use sandhill motors again? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Would I recommend sandhill motors to anyone? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Before buying from here, have a thorough check of the paperwork and ask lots of questions. Buy at your own peril.
Very obliging company, will make you happy with the deals they do, also give a months warranty so must believe in what they sell
